The Story of Erui Designs
Founded by Dr. Noyingbeni T. Erui in 2022, Erui Designs emerged from a profound passion for Naga culture and a mission to preserve, promote, and innovate traditional craftsmanship. Initially starting as a personal venture in embroidery in 2018, Dr. Erui officially launched the brand on Instagram in July 2022. Recognizing the potential to generate employment and promote self-sufficiency, the brand expanded into jewelry-making by April 2023.
By collaborating with skilled native weavers for authentic design and colour patterns, Erui Designs trains young artisans in jewelry-making and embroidery, ensuring the continuity of Naga heritage while encouraging sustainable livelihoods. The brand’s products, which include a fusion of modern and traditional Naga designs, are available at the Made in Nagaland center in Kohima and through the same platform in Delhi. Products can also be found at Ilandlo (Dimapur) and Fusion Dimapur.
With a commitment to quality and cultural preservation, Erui Designs continues to illuminate the prospects of embroidery and jewelry-making, contributing to the socio-economic development of the Naga community.
